Once again it's not what you think! Wife keeps telling me that if bad things happen leading up to the wedding, the marriage itself will be wonderful. I think it must be the fact that if a couple has already proven they can weather the storms before they get married, they will have a better chance at a successful marriage.
And speaking of weathering storms... What the heck Mother Nature!?!?!?! In the latest news, Tropical Depression Cindy threatens to make her way up to us via landfall and turn into a Cyclone?!?! Targetted arrival for outer storm bands is mid-day Saturday with heavy rainfall and potential flooding!
All I've been listening to for the past few days is thunder. Lots of thunder as storms pass through our area. I've got to say that I really hope that Cindy dissipates as she makes landfall. This is today's radar snapshot of Cindy, making landfall and wreaking havoc from New Orleans, LA across to Pensacola, FL. That little marker on the right side is Abilena. I know they're a ways away but we still have a few days.
The worst part of this is that Cindy's storm track is the travel path for friends of ours who are driving up from Mississippi and Florida! I've told them all to please be safe. I'm very worried about them having to drive through this. It is a fourteen-hour drive by itself. You add in a barrage of rainfall and heavy winds and it makes for very dangerous driving conditions (as if the crazy people on the road didn't make it dangerous enough already)!
I just want to say to Cindy "YOU ARE NOT INVITED!"
