Let the Crafting Begin

As we get into the final stretch, we still have bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and final touches to do.

Today was a mad rush.  Wife and I went to Wilmington for final dress fitting and last minute alterations.  We also went to Michael's to get the supplies needed to do craft work.  This included wire for the boutonnieres, and navy blue Swarovski Crystals to make the blooms really pop.

I've been spray-painting the bullets, for the bullet-tree centerpieces, over the course of the past week.  The backyard looked like a little bullet garden.

Tonight, I took the time to add the Swarovski Crystals to each of the blooms.  From there I added pins to the rifle shells, and Hubs came up with this amazing idea for Mothers' Pins for my mom and his mom.

I then took the wire and affixed a bloom to a piece of wire and then placed the blooms in their shell "vases" to create the boutonnieres.

Next steps will be centerpieces!
