Finally A Maggie Bride

After falling in love with Maggie Sottero dress designs since my friend emailed them to me, while planning her wedding, over fifteen years ago; I am proud to say that I will finally be a Maggie Bride!

For those who were there for my previous wedding, I was upset because the bridal boutique had basically tricked me out of buying the designer I wanted.  I had gone in wanting a Maggie Sottero dress and even brought in print outs of dresses from her website (www.maggiesottero.com).

They didn't have the dresses I wanted to try on so they said they would bring similar dresses for me to try on.  We found one that I liked and they asked me if I wanted to buy it.  Believing that it was a Maggie Sottero, I said yes.

The dress was ordered and arrived several months later.  Imagine my dismay when the seamstress who was prepping the dress for alterations told me how beautiful my dress was, and commented on the materials this designer (who will remain nameless) used.  It was a different designer who had dresses similar in style to Maggie Sottero, but who in the long run, did not offer the same quality dress as Maggie Sottero offers.

So, I was a bit smarter this time around.  I didn't just look for bridal boutiques who carried Maggie Sottero as a designer, I also looked to see what dresses they had in their inventory.  You see, if a dress isn't in stock, you can't try it on.  It isn't like they're going to custom order a wedding dress for you to try on and decide you don't like it.

So, I found Camille's of Wilmington.  This wonderful boutique that not only carries Maggie Sottero, but had a particular dress in stock that I love.  It is called the Cadence.

Here is the dress on the website.

Here is a size too big on me for try-on.

I also tried a few head pieces.

None of head pieces were exactly what I wanted, but at least I found the dress!  So, I said yes to the dress and I will be a Maggie Sottero Bride!

I Said Yes!
