The Engagement Ring

In true Police fashion, Hubs loves everything that has to do with Thin Blue Line.  It was funny because when we got to the jewelry store, he told me he wanted to see what I would pick.  So, I went from case to case looking at rings and for the most part did not like any of them.  Even though I was worried that I wouldn't find one that fit me; he never got worried for a minute.

Don't get me wrong, I love what the rings look like, but most are just not me.  In my eyes the halo style rings have too much going on - way too many diamonds.  I hear women all over the world laughing at me "what do you mean too many diamonds?  There's no such thing as too many diamonds!"  For me there are though.  I'm not one of those glamorous women and so all of that bling would look out of place on me.  I consider myself to be more the girl next door type.

So, 95% percent of the rings in the store are now off the table by sheer volume of diamonds.  The lady takes me over to the three-stone case and immediately I am drawn to this beautiful white gold ring with a round center stone and round sapphire side stones.  It is unique because the sides of the ring are spiraled.

So, I ask the lady to pull it out and I try it on and it is the perfect size... suspicious that the one ring in the store that I like would just happen to be in my size.

Apparently not suspicious at all because that was the one Hubs had picked for me!
